Workshop and Balboa Beckons take place at our usual Balboa Beckons location in the Old Headington Village Hall, Dunstan Road, Headington, Oxford OX3 9BY (on site parking available for quite a few cars).

The Teachers
Mel and Jo are renowned international teachers of Balboa. They teach, compete and dance Balboa socially across Europe and USA.
They have superb technique and use their deep knowledge of dance and physical motion to understand and explain the nature of dance movement. Their engaging and positive attitude makes their classes not ony informative but also hugely enjoyable. Their passion for Balboa is simply infectious.
The workshops will be focussed on lifting your confidence and abilities in social dancing. The classes will be multi-level but some experience of Balboa is needed.
The Band
The Basin Street Brawlers are acclaimed as “London’s top hot jazz ensemble” from visitlondon.com. They regularly play at the UK’s most prestigious jazz and chamber music venues, including the Royal Albert Hall’s Elgar Room, Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club. They have featured as guest artists on national radio (both Radio 3 and Radio 2).
