We are delighted to announce the next SlowBal workshop will be on Sunday 14th May with the fabulous Isabella Ling and Louis Carruthers.
When: 10.30 doors open, workshop between 10.45 and 11.45 and 12 and 1pm.
Where: At St Michael’s Church Hall, 2 Portland Road, Oxford OX2 7EZ
How much: £25 on DanceCloud or pay cash/by card at Monday classes.
That afternoon between 2 and 5.30pm will be OxfordSwingDance’s tea dance in the same hall with music to dance Lindy, Balboa and SlowBal too, so you can make a dancing day of it! £6 for the tea dance on the door (cash or card).
Having competed in the UK and abroad, Louis and Izzy are determined to spread their enthusiasm and love of Balboa and are committed to help grow and nurture the UK scene. Learning swing dancing in Australia, Izzy moved to London with a passion for Balboa, Shag and Lindy. After spending 5 years learning and travelling to dance Lindy Hop, Balboa caught Louis’ eye and what started out as a curiosity quickly turned into a passion.
