We are excited to announce that on Sunday 27th November, we will have workshops taught by the wonderful Janet Davis in the morning and the early afternoon and the brilliant gypsy jazz duo Holder and Smith playing at Balboa Beckons, our social tea dance in the afternoon.

A multi-level workshop, suitable for everyone who has done at least a term of Balboa lessons upwards. The workshop will focus on your own dancing, at whatever level you’re currently at, so no matter whether you’re a relative beginner or whether you’re more experienced and ready for some super-tough challenges, you’ll come away with some inspiration and some ideas to play with.

We are thrilled that Janet Davis will be teaching. Janet is well-known on the Balboa scene, teaching Balboa internationally as well as in the UK. She loves inspiring newcomers to the dance as well as more advanced dancers with her delightful musicality and technique. She is brilliant at making the dance approachable, with a supportive and interactive style of teaching. As one of our regular DJs at Balboa Beckons she is well-loved in the Oxford scene.
